292: Another early walk

I've been taking our point-and-shoot along on my walks with the dog to shake up my creativity and take advantage of the different perspective the early morning light provides. Here are some entrances to the homes of a few of the neighbors.

This is the same church parking lot where this scene is located. If you're looking for the blue in this picture, it's too dark to see: there is a blue awning over the glowing church doorway in the bottom portion of the image.

289: Hairstyle

Ever since my daughter had her hair cut, we have a new morning ritual. Brush, bottle of spray-in conditioner and hair ties in hand, I ask whether she wants a braid, or one or two pigtails. This morning I thought we'd give barrettes a try again. I had two barrettes in mind, one on each side, but she thought we should go with a few more.

281: Cutlery

Yes, that's our silverware.  Yes, it always looks like that. Except when it's empty, which seems to be all the time lately.

277: First haircut

My daughter had her hair cut by a professional stylist for the first time today. She basked in every aspect of the new experience, from the chair to the robe to the braid at the end.

276: Foggy morning

The blue shot.

I've been getting up early to walk the dog. While I can't help but groan when the alarm goes off, I would have missed this lovely misty morning without our new daily ritual.
