An abandoned gas works near my house. I've always heard it was a Superfund site, but I didn't find it on any online lists.
I did find lots of blogs and photosharing albums of this subject though. I find it heartening to see so many others fascinated by the mystery and rich history of this site and others like it. I love this painting in particular.

A blue building in town I've always liked is the Suntrust at Broad & Allen. Not that you are in danger of running out of ideas!
ReplyDeleteOooh, you are so right! The funny thing is that I used to work just down the block, and have admired those beautiful tiles countless times, but never put it together to use it for the project. Thanks for the suggestion!
