Day 6... you guessed it... no power. We visited the elementary school where I helped with the four seasons mosaic panels earlier this year. The waterfall above is in the garden where the panels were installed. We were especially excited by the half dozen fat and happy goldfish we saw swimming in the garden pond!
Wow. I can't imagine being without power for six days. We used to go to my Gramma's cottage where there was no electricity, but that was our choice and we were planning for it. Totally different situation. We had no power for three days several years ago (remember that power outage that affected the entire eastern seaboard? I think it was in 2002... maybe)
ReplyDeleteI really hope they get things fixed SOON! Or better yet, since I am posting Monday on Friday's post, I hope it is already fixed.
I have to say that I am impressed with your matter-of-fact attitude. I thinkI'd be pulling my hair out and griping a lot.
I keep thinking of a time in high school when an ice storm left my family without power for a week. I wonder if my mom felt as overwhelmed then as I did this past week. I did do my share of griping, but I also kept thinking about Katrina and that ice storm and how much worse it could be to help keep it all in perspective.
