84: Wet Sneaker on Porch Rail

Physically, emotionally and creatively drained by the wonderful, busy activity of the last week. This is all there is today.

  1. That's okay. I'm often surprised at how many you contribute daily. Last week was a great, productive week, put your feet up.

  2. I wrestle with myself a bit on the number of photos I post. Is it a strength (lots of good shots) or a weakness (disguising mediocrity with quantity), or do I just need to be a stricter critic of the work I post?

  3. I like how you have been playing with focus lately.

  4. Em and I arrived at the beach last week (yes, it's cold, no we didn't swim, but Sadie loved the water anyway) and there was an awesome sandal with a worn sole, leather strap curled by the salt water, washed up on the beach, sitting by its lonesome without even a footprint nearby. My (new!) camera was still packed in its bag, and by the time I thought of it again, someone must've thrown or carried it away. You basically caught this sneaker like I wanted to catch that lonesome castaway. Just picture it sitting in the sand. Shoes tell great stories. I'll have to file that away for the next opportunity.

  5. Congrats on the new camera, Charles. Can't wait to see what you're doing with it!
