68: One Tree Complete

Students sorting tile first thing this morning.

Filling in the smaller spaces at the top of the spring tree.

An overhead view.

The completed spring tree! The students have also begun adhering some of the local fauna they created. The evergreen tree in the background will be repeated in each seasonal panel to illustrate the difference between deciduous and evergreen trees.

We're starting to pick up speed a little, and were even able to have two going at one time today. This is the fall mural. Next week is spring break, so the next time I get back to this project will be in about ten days. Stay tuned!

  1. The first shot makes me think of cookies. I like the seasonal themes. And the dirty hands! Makes me want to do something that gets our hands messy, too.

  2. Thanks, guys! I am just blown away at what these kids are doing, and I feel so excited to be a part of it.

Kat, we used cookie cutters for many of the shapes, and there has been a lot of conversation about cookies while we work on this project.
